Mavuno empowers rural communities in eastern Congo through agriculture, education, entrepreneurship and sustainable development.
Our Story
Mavuno was founded in Beni in 2014 to support the leadership and livelihoods of rural farming communities in eastern Congo.
We address five connected barriers: access to land, knowledge, inputs, markets and capital. Our work combines agricultural support, practical education and community participation.
Our Rural Development Center provides space for demonstrations and practical learning. Farmer field schools and business support help communities apply knowledge to their own livelihoods.
